Sensitive enterprise, government, or executive-level information is handled under appropriate confidentiality protocols and, where applicable, formal Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs).

This Privacy Policy applies when you use our Services and explains how BCU collects, uses, shares, and protects the Personal Information of individuals, customers, job applicants, and others who interact with us.

These interactions include both online and offline activities with BCU and/or your use of any of our products and services, including, but not limited to:

  • The BCU Platform

In the course of using our Services, you may provide us with personally identifiable information. This refers to any information about you that can be used to contact and/or identify you, or information on your use of the Services that may be connected with you (“Personal Information”).

  • Account Credentials: User IDs and passwords (for registered users).

  • Professional & Business Data: Job title, state and country of company residence, occupation, industry, payment information, banking details, and any other information needed to provide a requested proposal.

  • Technical Data: Internet Protocol (IP) address, browser type, the web page you visited before coming to our website, and search terms used on our site.

Third-Party & Multi-User Collection:

  • Co-Branded Services: If you use Services offered in conjunction with another company, both BCU and the partner company may receive and use your collected information according to each company's privacy policy.

  • Third-Party Sources: We may receive information (like page-view data) from public databases, joint marketing partners, and social media platforms to enhance our marketing, tailor our Services, and detect fraud.

  • Employer/Administrator Setups: An administrator may create an account on your behalf (most commonly when your company requests that you use the BCU Platform). If you are an employee of a customer and wish to stop data processing, please contact both your employer and BCU.

 

4. How We Use Your Personal Information

To offer a consistent and personalized experience, information collected through one source may be combined with information obtained through other sources (including across multiple devices) to create customized profiles.

BCU uses your Personal Information to:

  • Deliver requested Services, handle support tickets, and carry out transactions.

  • Create, update, support, and manage your account.

  • Send transaction updates, order confirmations, promotional offers, and surveys.

  • Facilitate use of our website, Live Chat assistance, online forums, blogs, podcasts, and webinars.

  • Evaluate job candidates, communicate with applicants, and monitor recruitment statistics.

  • Analyze usage trends, customize content, and improve our marketing campaigns.

  • Enforce our conditions of sale, website terms, and separate contracts.

  • Sales Chain: With integrators, order fulfillers, sales agents, and channel partners for marketing or supporting BCU products.

  • Legal Requirements: In response to lawful requests by public authorities, national security, law enforcement, subpoenas, or court orders when we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect our rights or safety.

  • Corporate Transfers: As part of a corporate sale, merger, reorganization, asset sale, or dissolution. You will be notified via email and/or a prominent notice on our website of any change in ownership.

Aggregated Data: We may analyze anonymous, aggregated data to improve our website and services. This data does not identify you personally and may be shared with third parties for lawful purposes.

We determine data retention on a case-by-case basis. We aim to keep your Personal Information for a short period, only as long as necessary to fulfill the purpose for which it was collected, in compliance with applicable legal requirements.

BCU may transfer your Personal Information outside of your home country or region (including outside the EEA or UK) to the United States and other global offices. BCU's security program is independently certified and attested to meet SOC 2 standards and ISO 27001 standards (for the BCU Platform).

  • Technical and organizational measures to ensure system integrity, availability, and resilience.

  • Limiting physical and digital access to our premises and data systems.

  • Destroying or de-identifying Personal Information where required by law.

⚠️ Security Warning: No internet transmission is 100% secure. Email sent to us may not be secure; please use caution. BCU will never request your ID or password through email. Beware of phishing scams.

 

9. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may exercise the following rights regarding your data:

  • Access & Know: Request details on how we use your data and who we share it with.

  • Copy/Portability: Request a copy of the Personal Information we hold about you.

  • Correction: Rectify or update inaccurate, out-of-date information.

  • Deletion: Request the erasure of your Personal Information.

  • Restriction/Objection: Demand that we cease or restrict certain processing activities.

  • Withdraw Consent: Revoke your consent for future data processing.

  • Post-Death Instructions: Provide instructions for data processing in the case of death.

 

Exercising Your Rights

You can exercise these rights yourself or through an authorized agent (who must provide written permission and contact info so we can verify your identity). We will not discriminate against you (deny services, alter prices, or lower quality) for exercising your rights.

10. Regional Privacy Frameworks & Disclosures

 

A. EU, UK, and Switzerland: Data Privacy Framework (DPF)

BCU participates in and complies with the EU-US DPF, the UK Extension to the EU-US DPF, and the Swiss-US DPF as set forth by the US Department of Commerce. If there is any conflict between this policy and the DPF Principles, the DPF Principles shall govern.

  • Complaints: Contact privacy@BCU-LLC.com first. If unresolved, you may contact the relevant DPA free of charge:

  • Arbitration: Under certain conditions, you may invoke binding arbitration for residual claims. See Data Privacy Framework Arbitration.

  • Enforcement: BCU is subject to the jurisdiction of the US Federal Trade Commission (FTC).

  • Onward Transfers: BCU remains liable for the processing of personal data it receives and subsequently transfers to a third party acting as an agent on its behalf.

 

B. California Residents (CCPA / CPRA)

California residents have specific rights to delete, correct, access, and limit the sharing of their Personal Information.

  • Opt-Out of "Sale/Sharing": BCU does not sell personal information for money. However, sharing data with marketing partners for targeted ads may qualify as a "sale" under the CCPA.

  • How to Opt Out: Click the "Do Not Sell My Personal Information" button on our cookies banner, or turn on the Global Privacy Control (GPC) in your browser.

  • Direct Marketing Requests: California residents are entitled once a year, free of charge, to request information regarding our disclosures to third parties for direct marketing purposes.

C. Brazil Residents (LGPD)

In accordance with the Brazilian General Data Protection Law (LGPD), users in Brazil have the right to confirm processing, correct info, request anonymization/blocking/elimination of non-compliant data, and request a review of automated decisions. Information regarding shared third-party marketing lists will be provided within 15 days of request.

 

11. Changes to this Privacy Policy

BCU reserves the right to modify or update this Privacy Policy at any time. Notice of material changes will be posted on our website before they become effective. Use of information is subject to the Privacy Policy in effect at the time the data is collected.
